New Appointments at Enterprise Fredericton Will Help Growth Strategy

Over the summer months, Enterprise Fredericton has been working on updating the Community Growth Strategy which will span from 2009-2012. This strategy will map out the key initiatives and objectives set out to be accomplished and measured by the Enterprise agency staff and its board. The goal of this strategy is to best meet the needs of the community in its current economic environment.

“The importance of a well structured Community Growth Strategy is essential for the staff, board and community” Enterprise Fredericton Chair Kevin Kilbride stated. “We have seen a sharp increase in population growth over the past years, and start-up interest is also on the rise. A new Growth Strategy will allow Enterprise Fredericton, and its strategic partners, the flexibly to efficiently assist residents and newcomers invest and grow in greater Fredericton.”

The success of this strategy is dependant on the collaborative efforts with our partner groups who assist in executing these initiatives.

Enterprise Fredericton has completed its recruitment process for the following positions:
- Business Development Officer
- Youth Entrepreneurship Coordinator
- Administrative Assistant

Enterprise Fredericton would like to announce the appointment of Chrystal Hallihan as Business Development Officer. Chrystal Hallihan, a Miramichi native, obtained her BBA and BEd from UNB. Chrystal began her career with Enterprise Fredericton as a Youth Entrepreneurship Coordinator where she excelled in the role.

As a recent graduate and Dean’s list student of UNB’s Business Administration program, Kaitlyn DeLong brings experience and a positive attitude to the her new role as the Youth Entrepreneurship Coordinator. Kaitlyn began her career with Enterprise Fredericton as Administrative Assistant and Special Projects Coordinator.

Enterprise Fredericton would also like to welcome Caroline Nadeau to its team. Caroline has a BA from STU and will take on the Administrative Assistant role. New staff means new skill sets and qualifications, which is ultimately destined to continue in the effective delivery of outstanding investment, communication and customer service support for the greater Fredericton community.

The Community Growth Strategy for 2009-2012 is currently being completed and official announcement launched in the coming months.
